Weekend Report

Sticking to my promise, blogging on the weekends.

So what has happened?

Eternity Matters got some firsts in 25 man Ulduar this week, with Iron Council down, Kolgram down, etc.  The Cat lady stopped us.

Then quite a few of us last night got Saurafang the Younger down in 10 man ICC.

But I am still seeing the trend of loosing players in the guild, to the point we can't support 25 mans.

So I am looking at other possible things for us to do to keep moving forward.

Have a great weekend.

  1. IMHO, the loss of interest in raiding, or the whole game in general is a direct result of constant end-game activities. One can only do so much raiding, day after day, and week after week, before it gets to the point where one gets burned out on it. The latest patches didn't do much to help the problem, and LFG (while good for some levelling) definitely killed it for a lot of people who were already at level cap. I cancelled my WoW account as of last week, because the game just held no enjoyment for me anymore. I'd get on a low-level character, bop around and do a couple of quests, and get into maybe one or two instanced groups before I'd just get bored and log off. I might pick it up again after the next expansion to see what it's like, but if it's the same old stuff, then I'll drop it again. WoW, in my opinion, and in the opinion of a few others that I've spoken to, has run its course, and is running out of steam. Currently, I'm spending what little free-time I've got playing the new Star Trek Online MMO, just to see how it goes. Thus far, it shows some promise.
